On Wednesday, September 21st, SWE hosted a cross-company webinar viewing over the lunch hour from a SWE module. It was a great success with over 40 attendees joining us from both the local companies (Rockwell Collins, General Mills, Dupont and Quaker Foods & Snacks) who hosted and over the phone! SWE-ECI provided lunch as well in this event.
The topic presented was, "What the History of Successful Women in STEM Fields Can Teach us About Finding Success (and Holding our Ground) Today." We used history and the stories of these successful, inspiring women to help propel us forward in our careers today. A great discussion followed after where we identified things that we could implement in our lives and daily work right away.
