On Tuesday, May 17th, a number of SWE members and their families joined us at the ballpark for our annual picnic and awards event! SWE reserved a plaza and we had a great time talking, drinking, and watching the game!
The Kernels couldn't pull out a win against the Snappers, but we had many members win our annual awards! The winners are:
   | Outstanding Participation - Cynthia Calzadilla Cynthia attended 6 events this year and won the award for the second year running! It's always great seeing you at our events, Cynthia! Outstanding Leadership - Melissa Plourde Melissa has provided a wonderful new perspective on our core board from her experience with regional and national committees as well as her time on the Purdue core board. This year she helped us as we planned a new vision for our core board. Outstanding New Member - Kara Novotny Kara graduated from UW Madison last year and has brought her SWE enthusiasm to the marketing role on our core board. She and her co-chair Erin have fit right in to our SWEsterhood! SWEsterhood - Jill Nagel Jill always has a warm smile and as our president is great at building our network! |
