Looking for more opportunities to get involved with STEM outreach in your community? Consider joining SWE-ECI's Core Board as K-12 or College Outreach Chair (or both!)
The role entails being a liaison and coordinating STEM outreach or support events for K-12 or college students. In the past, we've supported events such as career panels, interviews, resume critique and STEM workshops to name a few. Along with enhanced leadership skills and a chance to guide community involvement and outreach, being a part of the Core Board comes with a set of perks too- for example, chance to attend Annual and WELocal Conferences (with full or % of expense covered), opportunity to increase professional network in the area and nationally along with gaining a close-knit support system!
