What a conference this year! WE12, the 61st annual conference for Women Engineers, was held in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center November 7 through 11. Record-breaking attendence was recorded: a total of 6,400 attendees!  Rockwell Women Touring Houston Facility during WE12

On October 19th, SWE-ECI hosted a lunch meeting and call in at Rockwell Collins in which we watched an archived webinar from the SWE Headquarters database entitled "Managing Up." A good number of members and non-members showed up both in person and on the netmeeting to watch and discuss.
SWE-ECI together with the Rockwell Collins Women's Forum (formerly the Rockwell Collins Women's Employee Network) hosted Jennifer Allyn, Managing Director in the Office of Diversity for PricewaterhouseCoopers, who facilitated a panel discussion with five Rockwell Collin's women leaders and led the audience in a candid conversation about credibility.
For the second year in a row, Rockwell Collins has donated $8,000 to our East Central Iowa Society of Women Engineer's chapter. Thanks to these funds, we can continue to hold free networking events, technical tours, and outreach events in our community. We also sponsor travel to the Iowa, Region H, and Annual conference for our members. Thank you Rockwell Collins for all you do for this chapter.
