Kristen Wagner

Kristen Wagner is a Mechanical Engineer at PepsiCo – Quaker Foods & Snacks in Milling Research & Development. She has worked at Quaker for the past eight years since she graduated from the University of Iowa. Kristen has been active in SWE for twelve years; four years as a collegiate and eight years as a professional member. Throughout her professional career, Kristen has held various roles within SWE-ECI: President for almost three years, Vice-President, Jr. Girl Scout Day Chair for two years, and College Outreach Chair for three years. Most recently, Kristen was awarded the WE Local 2021 New Emerging Leader in Technology & Engineering (ELiTE) Award. Locally, Kristen has received the SWE-ECI Leadership Award in 2020 and 2019, and she received the SWEsterhood Award in 2018. Aside from work and SWE, Kristen’s favorite hobbies are traveling, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband Devin, their two-year-old son Logan, and their dog Rylee.
For FY22, Kristen would like to take a step back and be Vice President, since she is expecting a baby girl in August. Being VP would allow Kristen to continue to be actively involved in the ECI section, while expanding her family simultaneously. Kristen’s second choice is Membership Chair, because she is extremely passionate about SWE and wants to help others realize SWE’s value, as well.

Katie Allen

Katie is a Sr. Engineering Manager who works at Collins Aerospace. She has been active in SWE since her college years at the University of Notre Dame. She joined SWE-ECI in 2011 and has previously served as K-12 Outreach Chair, during which she inaugurated the popular Jr. Girl Scout Day event, and President, when she helped revamp the bylaws and bring in Rockwell Collins corporate sponsored memberships. She has been Treasurer many times and earned the SWE-ECI Leadership Award in 2015 and 2016. Katie has attended and organized numerous section events.
Katie would like to continue as Treasurer since she feels that she is good at the role and has done a good job keeping SWE-ECI’s budget the last few years. She has ensured that our grant from Collins Aerospace is kept active, allowing many of the popular events to take place. Being Treasurer allows her to help in many different aspects which she enjoys. It is also a good fit for her life; the Treasurer role allows her to support the section on her own schedule.

Sarah Lamp

Sarah is a Senior Systems Engineer at Collins Aerospace, where she has worked for the past three years.
Sarah is interested in the following elected positions: Secretary (1) and Communications/Marketing Secretary (2). Sarah is passionate about STEM and would like the opportunity to broaden our footprint in the local area, from both a student and professional perspective. She is looking to become more active in SWE, for this year and many years to come. Many intellectual societies have been impacted by the pandemic, and we need to be able to grow and thrive again. Sarah is open to either position, as she has four children at home! She would be happy with any type of involvement!
